Track Prom

Track prom was especially popular this year, with lots of creativity in how the girls asked the guys (not sure why it wasn't the other way around).

Wine Wednesday

The picture is coming because I took it on Jess's phone ... but she didn't want anything to do with anything to drink but wine tonight.

Assistance

Roland and Alex came by to help time the workout this afternoon and generally hang out with the team.  It's good to have alumni around.

Good Omen

Every Monday should start with a parking space this close to the building (you can't see it, but it's really close).

Sunday Salad

Seems like every Sunday night we end up eating light to recover from the not-light eating we did the rest of the weekend.  To me that means we usually have pretty good weekends.

Sports Night

Very important basketball games for Jess's bracket at work, as well as the CC-Michigan hockey game tonight.  Jess came out on top in every instance.

Emergency Margs

The coaching staff decided to call an emergency assistant coaches meeting at La Fonda to prepare for the rest of the home meet.

Quick Trip

Mom and Dad made the drive up from Florida for dinner and to meet Jess -- also my phone takes terrible pictures.

The Other Four

While I was going through my records last week, I remembered I had this one.  Turns out the show may not be as funny as I remember it (based on the YouTube videos we watched), but the music is still good.

Cure-all

Thank goodness Jess had the essentials on-hand after that day.

Rock out while you work

If you've got to spend Monday night getting work done, you can at least rock out and sing really loudly while you do it.

Imposter

You may think:  "Chik-fil-a is closed, but that McDonald's sandwich is such a rip-off of it that it must taste about the same, right?"

You would be wrong.

Melton's

Alex, Murph, and Pedro were full of stories (including about the number of former athletes who put themselves through school by "dancing") at Melton's after the home meet.

One day down

We didn't get invited to the "adult" coaches dinner after the first day of the home meet, so Megan, Ross and I had our own party.

Fetish Properties

Jess was out of town for her cousin's wedding, so I took the opportunity to get the important albums in the wonderful new record sleeves that I purchased from Vintage Vinyl.  One of the best things about records is the feel of them -- and they feel so much better in these sleeves!

The site of World War III, aka "Coaches v. Trainers VIII."  Turns out they were already doing everything right.  Who knew?

Back at Emory and a home meet this weekend, so it's time to go beat the steeplechase barriers into submission for another year.

Last gasp

Just because we weren't at Disney anymore didn't mean it was time to return to real life yet.

Final day

We had one more day at Epcot before heading back to Atlanta.  Before we left, though, we made plans to move to Disney full-time in the near future.

Busy Day

Somehow this was the only picture I took of day two at Disney.  But Ben had a great day and exhausted himself enough to take a 2+ hour nap -- which made babysitting significantly easier.

Disney Day 1

It's slightly out of focus, but I think it's pretty obvious the excitement Jess has for eating a Mickey Mouse-shaped rice krispie treat.

Earlier in the day, Ben was slightly more nervous for his ride on the flying dinosaurs.  Don't worry, though, he loved it.

St. Pete

First stop on vacation was Uncle John's condo to visit Uncle John, Nanny, and Pops.  We enjoyed a beautiful Florida day and then they left for CO the next morning as it was pouring rain.  So pretty much perfect timing.

Suntime

The countdown to vacation is over.

Finally finished the soccer-playing wizards book (which was really quite fun, actually), so time to start something new.

Josh Ritter

For Joy's birthday we went to Athens and saw Josh Ritter at the 40 Watt Club.  He was excellent as always.
