Apparently I missed a spot when I was putting on sunscreen.  Two, actually, because there's a matching purple spot on my right shoulder.

The start of our journey down the Hooch -- right before the park ranger told us we couldn't get on the river without life jackets, which led us to hike about a good long ways looking for a place to get on the river without a park ranger.  We were successful.

There are few things that Jess can convince me to drive 20 minutes out of the way for, but Yogurt Tap is definitely worth it.  And, as an added bonus, Jess found a dress for Marcus and Dena's wedding thanks to the girl a few spots ahead of us in line.

Jess has been looking for a dress for Marcus and Dena's wedding.  I helpfully googled "Zooey Deschanel dresses" which brought up the site ModCloth.com  I then spent an hour or so pointing out all sorts of great ideas.

In honor of the CDC's blog post about preparing for a possible zombie apocalypse, I decided to start doing my own research.

Chaperone

Other than some tennis girls who decided 2AM was a reasonable time to be yelling at each other, it was a pretty uneventful night supervising the athletes in the hotel.

It tasted good

Well we may have overdone the cheese and the dough was a bit lopsided, but it was pretty tasty -- as anything with this much mozzarella and prosciutto would be.

Finally!

Pig 'n' Chik FINALLY opened their location by Emory so we called an hour-and-half assistant coaches' lunch to celebrate.  Ross is really happy about it.  And it was really good.

Groundbreaking

A normal Wednesday at the store turned epic when Kevin started printing these cards to tell everyone how much of a product to stock, etc.  It may not sound awesome, but trust me -- any advancement in idiot-proofing the store is a step in the right direction.

Substitute Entertainment

I convinced myself that since I cancelled cable I would need SOME entertainment this summer and therefore it was okay to take advantage of the latest round of Slickdeals.net offers on video games. 

We all get lucky sometimes

After sitting in graduation traffic forever, I decided to just park my car in the neighborhood and walk into work.  And despite the fact that I didn't have a neighborhood parking permit, I didn't get a ticket.

Getting organized

So I decided that starting this week I would actually plan my snacks and lunches out ahead of time.  I do love a structured life.

Spent an awesome day hiking to the ruins of a paper mill built in the 1850's in the woods behind my place.

My first weekend with truly nothing to do since December -- if then.  Picked up all the essentials on my way home from work.

Cinco de Mayo

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo (we even looked it up so we knew what we were celebrating) and Becky's birthday, and Dad's love of Jimmy Buffett all at once!

Cable Out

I finally sucked it up and cancelled cable today on the theory that 1) I never have time to watch it, and 2) even when I do have time, I don't watch it.  Seems like pretty strong logic.

Empty house

Apparently the rain scared the All-Comers meet crowds away because it was a pretty dismal turnout for the first one of the season -- but Fleischhacker ran a 4:10 to end his season!

The state of the uniform closet this morning.  I will post an "after" picture sometime at the end of the month that will look much better.

After a mostly work, less fun day yesterday, it was back to regularly-schedule weekend programming today.
