Cooks v. Coaches

After two straight weeks of trash talk about the camp bowling tournament, Curtin and I took on Dobrasz and Alex in the first "Cooks versus Coaches Challenge."  Curtin put the hammer down early with a turkey and the coaches pretty much cruised from there.  I'm sure they'll ask for another rematch soon.

Life Tips

Not sure why this was inside the package.  I already purchased it.  Chances are I'm sold on the benefits.

Songfest

Every year we have "Songfest."  After 5 years I'm still not sure exactly what it is -- all I know is that one day every fall I have extreme difficulty getting out of the parking deck.

Hitting the roads

2 easy days to recover from camp + 1 good night's sleep + 1 pair of new shoes + a break in the heat = 1 very solid tempo run

Freedom Fartlek

We've got some work to do on form, but overall a very good first fartlek run of the season.

Need to Know

Don't really want to go into details on the internet, but believe me ... this was the most memorable part of my day.

Fantasy Football Draft

This year I spent time actually coming up with a detailed plan of attack for the draft.  End result?  Eh, probably about the same as it would have been without one.  But I felt better about it at least.

Bowling Champs

For the third time in four years, Natalie Fenn and I teamed up with a girls 800 runner and a guy from New Jersey to win the annual camp bowling tournament.

I'm not sure they're paying any attention to the sign in the background, but at least we got out of it without any injuries (except Falco getting nailed in the head).

Camp!

Guess what started today?  Pre-season camp!  Fit people just running around everywhere.

Football season finally got here; time to break out the pint glasses!  Wish I had any idea how they were going to do this year.

With Jared on the road to D.C. I am living without a roommate for the first time ever.  Wow.

For the first time in my life I made a doctor appointment without already being in unbearable pain.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.  It's 50/50 right now whether I'll call and cancel it.

Great day for music:  Marcus was seeing Pat Green in Portland and Jared and I drove to Greenville for Josh Ritter.  Another great concert and a fun crowd.
