Old San Juan (Day 2)

Happy hour at the Gallery Inn (see?  I told you that place was random and cool.  The bird's drinking Peroni, by the way); after I finished my drink with the bird we sat and talked with the owners for a long time.  Among other things, they told us about when the Obama's used the Inn for their primary campaign in Puerto Rico.

El Morro:  construction began in 1539.  Amazing all the wars, hurricanes, and development that place has withstood.

Straight out of Hemingway.  Minus the Crocs, of course.

Emboldened by the happy hour, we told the owners of the Inn we were "sort of" foodies.  So they sent us to this restaurant, which served my favorite dish of the entire trip:  Paella served sushi style.  If it wasn't for the whole "need to pay rent" thing, I could have eaten platters of this stuff.
